The House, the stone, the lake, and the cage
Imaan Zubieta
“My acrylic painting is a still life composed entirely of objects I found in my room. The colorful prints (from objects like clothing, bags, boxes, cards) seen in the painting are Chilean and Indian prints, symbolizing my multicultural identity. Along with being multicultural comes restrictions and faux privileges, as shown by the cage and House in the painting.”
